Hello all,
The new stuff is unreal. More to the point, I just picked up the Jetbeam M1x and I am perplexed. I got it used and don't have the manual. Reading the post here is great however I only got the light to "program" once. The three clicks got me to a strobe and then to an intensity mode. Now I can't get back to it. Click three times in the loosened position and nothing. Spastic? perhaps. I would like to program this at will without a billion 3 series clicks.
Forgive me if this is not the proper forum/post but how do I know to properly recharge the UltraFire 18650's with the UltraFire recharger. The comments of overcharge and smart charger seem to go back and forth. Can't make heads or tails of the correct way to proceed.
Lastly, the extension tube? What's the best way to run this? Are the cr123's a good way to go?
Again, if I am way off base with my questions in this area I apologize. The terms are all new and knowing how properly ask a question is new.
Thanks for any input for knowledgeable output.

The extension tube is for running 2 18650s or without it you can use 2 18500s or 3 X cr123s.
Most lights will not take kindly to using 4 X 123s
As lwknight stated, it will recharge automatically when u slide in the batteries, the indicator will show red while its charging & green color when complete charge.
Try to charge in well ventilated area & make it a habit to always take out the batteries after green led lit up.
Oh by the way :welcome:

It's important to realize that Li Ion technology has some care and handling that needs to be followed. That care and handling is not difficult -- but failure to follow it could result in a life-changing event, and not a good one. If you're asking this type of question, you MUST educate yourself a little on the technology first, not doing so would be irresponsible. Along the way you'll learn than many of us here feel you've gotten very low quality equipment, and would prefer your toss the battery and charger (especially if it's the older charger that doesn't terminate) and start with better equipment . and, as mentioned, with proper care and feeding. There's a number of places to start, here's one: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?329321-Li-ion-beginner-primer

Does the discussion about not overcharging the Li-ion battery in the "Ultrafire charger" refer only to the charger which is separate from the flashlight?
What about charging the 18650 battery with the ac adapter connected to the flashlight? Is there automatic protection against overcharging or does one check the adapter's light and disconnect it from the flashlight when the light changes from red to green? The flashlight is an Ultrafire 2000LM.
Thanks!
